Blogmas Day 24 - Part Two

"The 2013 Tag"

For my final post this year I thought I would invent a tag (well at least I think I made it up) for you guys that will help you reflect upon this last year, sharing what you have accomplished
and what you hope to achieve next year.
So here it goes...

1. What was the best part of 2013?
The best part of 2013 was most definitely my conservation trip in Costa Rica. I had such a life changing experience, grew as a person and met some lovely people that I hope to keep in touch with in the future.

2. What was the worst part of 2013?
The worst part of 2013 was probably losing one of my closest friends (in a fight don't worry she did not pass). Unfortunately we went our separate ways after 13 years of friendship.

3. Is there anything you can take from this experience?
I've learnt to be less dependent on others and realise that moving on helps you rather than them.

4. Would you change any part of 2013?
Perhaps I would revise more for my GCSEs... However this did show me I have more to give and has made me want to strive and work harder for my A-levels.

5. Over the year what has been your best achievement?
My best achievement this year was probably getting back into 6th form, sounds stupid but I was really worried.

6. What has been your biggest achievement this year with regards to your blog?
There are a few things I have achieved with reference to my blog - having a focus
- receiving the Liebster award
- completing Blogmas

6. What have you learnt over the last year?
To not worry about others as much and take time for myself every so often.

7. What will be your "motto" for 2014 and why?
"Keep those who matter your priority"
This will be my motto as it can apply to people and inanimate things like work. It covers a broad spectrum which will help me focus on what's important.

8. What are your New Year Resolutions?
Stick to a routine - eating healthily, exercising, working and blogging.

9. What do you hope to achieve in 2014?
In 2014 I hope to achieve good AS-levels (4 Bs), pass my driving test (I turn 17 in March)and perhaps get a job, if I can handle it.

10. What would you like for your blog in 2014?
I would like to reach 150 followers on Bloglovin and have a regular amount of viewers per day/post.
For me personally to take more pictures and learn more technical skills to improve my blog.

What now?
I will tag some blogs I want to take part.
If you want to take part and I haven't tagged you go right ahead.
After you've completed the tag comment below saying you have add a question of your own and pass the tag on to some other blogs.

This London Life
The Trendy Chick
Ruzin's Closet

Just Beauty Review

Lots of love

Blogmas Day 24 - Part One

Christmas Rambles

Hello, sorry for the late posting again but yesterday was a mad day of last minute christmas shopping and writing up 3 posts which will all be up by the end of today.

I wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you who have stuck with me through Blogmas, lets face it none of us thought I'd manage it but here we are Day 24 and there is one more post to go (will be up at 12pm today UK time). It's been difficult but seeing you enjoy it through your comments, likes +1s if you get that google malarky has made it all worth while.

I also want to say a massive thank you and hello to all the Americans who were viewing my blog last night. At 2:00am (I was up very late) there was a massive surge and I found I had 350 views all from the US. I don't know why there were so many at such a late time but I really appreciate it and can't wait to see more viewers from "across the pond" in the future even if it is at 2 o'clock in the morning.

So this post was just a big thank you to you all as I really appreciate every view, like and especially comment that my posts receive.
I've decided next year I will host a giveaway to show my gratitude so stay tuned in the new year if you would like to be involved. Also comment below some ideas of things I could giveaway.

Lots of love x

Blogmas Day 18

Mid-Week Rambles

Hey everyone, hope your week is going well so far, sorry for being a bit behind on the posts but with it being the last week of term things are a wee bit hectic.

But wow! I can't believe it is only ONE WEEK - 7 DAYS - till Christmas. This is insane. December is going so fast and I've never been so unprepared. Here's me giving you guys gift guides and I haven't even taken the inspiration to buy my prezzies.
I broke up from school today, finally, for the holidays which couldn't have come any sooner. My friend and I have planned our week before everyone else breaks up on Friday - today relax and watch films, Thursday - shop Oxford Street/Westfields, Friday - cinema and probably more shopping. Sounds like a pretty good week to me!

I've also decided, even though I hate it, I am going to start running eekk! Now I am probably one of the worst runners there is, I'm slow, loud and walk for 3/4 of it. So I have decided to recruit my running friend to train me. This is another big commitment, much like Blogmas, which I am determined to fulfil.  So during my future "Mid-Week Rambles" I'll update you on my progress, if there is any.

Blogmas Day 15

Easy Like a Sunday Morn... Afternoon

So it's just past the half way point to Christmas and if you're anything like me you may begin to be feeling a bit tired and lazy. So to get into the Christmas spirit whilst relaxing here are some things you can do from the comfort of your own home or even sofa.

1. The obvious one watch some Christmas films

2. Listen to some Christmas music, the new Leona Lewis album is pretty good

3. Snuggle up by the fire with a hot drink my favourite hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows

4. Bake a cake or make a gingerbread house

5. Online shopping - save yourself from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, buy your presents online and chill in the warm until they arrive

So if you're feeling a little sluggish there are my tips to help get into the christmas spirit!

Blogmas Day 14

Christmas Guide for the Family

With gifts for the family you want to keep them fun and interesting.
Here's a few ideas:

We bought this last year and it has left us laughing endlessly about how competitive we get over this simple game - Pucket.

Another fun game to play is the Electric Shock Game, probably best to play before the grandparents come round.

For families with younger children the DVD Frozen would be perfect to watch on Christmas or Boxing Day.

For those with older children although it is not Christmassy it's hilarious and perfect for a laugh with all the family -

If your mum is as big a fan of Pointless as my mum is, this is a great present to give to get the whole family involved with her love haha.

A simple but brilliant present for the family is a packet of After Eights simply so they can all play the After Eight Challenge. If you don't know what it is click here and prepare for some laughs with the family.

Listen to some festive songs over the holidays with Mr. Bublé.
iTunes has the newest version.

No Christmas is complete without some festive Christmas Jumpers.
Primark do some great ones

For Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day cosy up in a onesie.

Blogmas Day 13

Lazy Day Wavy Hair

I'm quite lucky with my hair - as in I don't do much to it and it looks ok(ish).
My hair is quite naturally wavy and although this is a post more suitable for summer (I'll probably re-post it then as well)  I'm going to show you how I get my hair wavy (my everyday look) with no heat and minimal effort.

Step 1

Wash your hair.
I use any Pantene product I switch it up all the time - currently using Smooth and Sleek, but any brand will do.

Step 2

Tie hair in a bun on top of your head - I do mine by pulling it into a high ponytail then wrapping it round on my head, nothing fancy.

Step 3

Leave for as long as possible - I always wash my hair at night so I leave it until I go to bed, which can be 10 minutes or 2 hours.

Step 4

Take hair out of the bun and leave to dry naturally (this probably won't work for those with naturally curly/frizzy hair) - I place a towel on my pillow and leave my hair to dry during my sleep.

Step 5

Part it the way you want and you're done. (If you hate leaving your hair unbrushed this is probably not the method for you)

Simple!!

*I'll do some research into ways for those with curlier hair to get no heat waves
